Regain Strong Teeth with San Antonio Crowns & Bridges
Teeth that are significantly damaged, decayed, or missing altogether cause far-reaching consequences over time for patients’ oral health and overall wellbeing. It’s always best to restore these areas as soon as possible, and a custom crown and/or bridge from Dr. Troy Jones and Dr. George Knight can create the lasting improvements you need! Our staff will take the time to ensure quality, custom results that fit your needs and meet your aesthetic preferences. Dental Crowns
A crown is designed as a “cap” that will essentially cover the entire visible shape of a single tooth, providing necessary support and structure. There are several reasons why our team might recommend a crown, including:
- You have a tooth that’s been injured and/or fractured
- You have a tooth that’s decayed to the point that a common filling can’t correct the problem
- You have a tooth that’s weakened and vulnerable to chipping/cracking/fracturing
- You have a tooth that’s been treated with root canal therapy and is in need of support
- You have a placed dental implant that’s in need of restoration
- You have a tooth that’s suffering from cosmetic concerns, like an abnormal/unsymmetrical shape
The process of receiving a new, customized crown usually requires two to three appointments. After your initial consultation, our doctors need to prepare the treated tooth, take impressions, and fit you for a temporary restoration. The information we gather will be sent to our trusted dental lab; after some time has passed, they’ll send back the finished dental crown so we can make final adjustments and cement it securely into place within your mouth. At this point, we want to see you smiling brightly!
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges can be a solid smile restoration solution correcting tooth loss in a secure and lifelike fashion. The prosthetic can be designed to replace one to three missing teeth in a row along the same arch, given that healthy teeth are still located nearby. These teeth are fitted for dental crowns that work as anchors holding your new bridge in place and allowing for great function.
Like dental crowns, our team can typically create and place a brand-new bridge over the course of two to three appointments. Implant-supported bridges and other prosthetics are also available at Jones & Knight, DDS!
